Speak Outreach Workshops: Summer 2019
Upon the conclusion of a successful kick-off year for the DFA studio—as the studio co-lead that began and oversaw the outreach team—I was approached by the National DFA team to create an outreach workshop for the 10th Annual DFA National Summit in August of 2019.
In-person, a presentation of our learnings and the process we followed as a studio was shared followed by discussion. During the course of the presentations, a demo and practice session was held to allow attendees to outline the information to be shared for their studio and then create their own leave-behind zine.
In addition to the in-person presentation and discussion—knowing everyone from the other studios would not be able to attend the conference—a printed booklet with condensed, pertinent information was created which included the outreach leave-behind zine and business card utilized in our own outreach.
